Dubai ranks eighth worldwide after getting top marks for city cleanliness and corporate tax.

Dubai has secured a remarkable position in the Global Power City Index 2023, excelling in categories like city cleanliness, work flexibility, low unemployment, and corporate tax rates. 

The index evaluates major cities based on their capacity to draw people, capital, and businesses across six key categories: economy, research and development, cultural interaction, livability, environment, and accessibility.

Dubai’s Notable Rankings

While Dubai claimed the eighth spot overall, it stood out as a leader in several aspects. London emerged as the top city in the rankings, followed by New York, Tokyo, Paris, Singapore, Amsterdam, and Seoul. What’s particularly noteworthy is Dubai’s pioneering role as the first Middle Eastern city to break into the index’s top 10.
