2025 Cycle and Submission Details
The 2025 cycle welcomes submissions through the prize’s online portal until June 23. Small to medium enterprises, non-profit organizations, and high schools with innovative and sustainable solutions are encouraged to apply for consideration.
Six Distinct Categories
The prize encompasses six distinct categories: health, food, energy, water, climate action, and global high schools. Each category boasts a substantial prize of $1 million, marking a significant increase in the prize fund from $3.6 million to $5.9 million for the latest edition.
Global High Schools Category and Regional Prizes
A notable development in the prize structure is the division of the global high schools category into six world regions. Each region – the Americas, Europe and Central Asia, Middle East and North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and East Asia and Pacific – will have a prize of $150,000 available for the winner in that region.
Accessible Submission Criteria
Submissions are welcome in various languages, including Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish, and Portuguese, aiming to ensure inclusivity and global participation in the award process.
