As the weekend commences, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts fair to partly cloudy weather across the UAE. Residents can anticipate clouds appearing eastward by the afternoon.
Due to thick fog, the NCM has issued red and yellow alerts in various parts of the country. Motorists are cautioned about reduced visibility until 10.30 am. Abu Dhabi Police has implemented speed reductions on multiple roads to enhance safety.
Speed Reductions and Caution Advisories:
The speed reduction system to 80 km/hr has been activated on several roads, including Salama Bint Butti Road, Shk. Khalifa Bin Zayed Intl. Road, Abu Dhabi – Al Ain Road, Shk. Maktoum Bin Rashid Road, and Shk.
Hazza bin Sultan the First Road. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and adhere to changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards.
The weather is expected to become humid by night and Sunday morning, with a likelihood of fog or mist formation over coastal and internal areas.
Wind and Sea Conditions:
Light to moderate winds are anticipated, occasionally freshening westward. The sea is expected to be slight to average in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.
Temperature variations are projected, with the lowest expected to drop to 7ºC in mountainous regions and the highest reaching 30ºC in internal areas.
