VFS Global has recently inaugurated a dedicated center for processing France visa applications in Abu Dhabi, extending its services to all seven emirates.
The newly opened center, situated at The Mall – World Trade Centre on Khalifa Bin Zayed the 1st Street, was officially inaugurated on December 18 by Soumya Zelmat, the Consul of France in Abu Dhabi.
Convenience at Your Fingertips with ‘Visa At Your Doorstep’:
Prospective applicants now have the option to apply for a France visa remotely through the ‘Visa At Your Doorstep’ service or choose an in-person application at the center.
This new service reflects VFS Global’s commitment to providing efficient and transparent visa application services, making it easier for individuals across the UAE to visit France.

Soumya Zelmat expressed her views on the launch: “The opening of this new visa center entirely dedicated to France reaffirms our commitment to facilitating exchanges between France and the UAE.”
She emphasized the significance of easing international travel for various purposes, including tourism, education, business, and family visits. The aim is to provide a seamless and hassle-free visa application process for residents in all seven emirates.
Growing Demand for France as a Destination:
Ms. Monaz Billimoria, Regional Head of VFS Global, highlighted the increasing demand for France as a preferred destination for business and leisure.
Noting a substantial 45% growth in France visa applications in the UAE from November 2022 to November 2023, she expressed excitement about welcoming applicants to the new premises. She acknowledged the support of the French Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
Enhanced Facilities and Optional Services:
The newly established center boasts enhanced facilities, including a spacious waiting area, state-of-the-art biometric facilities, and a dedicated space to showcase France as a destination.
Applicants visiting the center can opt for various optional services, such as courier return service, Prime Time submissions, visa assistance, and form filling by trained professionals.
For a premium experience, a Premium Lounge is available, offering end-to-end assistance in a luxurious setting.
Continued Support for Other Schengen Countries:
While the new center caters specifically to France visa applications, individuals applying for visas to other Schengen countries in Abu Dhabi are advised to continue visiting the Joint Visa Application Centre in the World Trade Centre Mall for document submissions.
The move aims to streamline the visa application process and ensure clarity for applicants seeking visas to multiple Schengen countries.
