Vehicle strikes pedestrians in Aldwych, London: multiple injuries reported

Nine people are in hospital after a car collided with a bus stop in central London, cops have confirmed.

In the early hours of Sunday at approximately 03:30 GMT, law enforcement officers responded to distressing reports of a vehicle striking several pedestrians in the Aldwych area of London. 

The incident resulted in several individuals requiring medical attention.

Multiple Injuries Reported

The London Ambulance Service (LAS) confirmed that eight people were transported to the hospital for treatment. 

The severity of their injuries varied, with three individuals being taken to major trauma centers for specialized care, and the others received treatment at local hospitals.

Arrest Made in Connection with the Incident

A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving in relation to the incident. He was also taken to the hospital, though the nature of his injuries has not been disclosed.
