The General Command of Umm Al Quwain Police recently revealed a groundbreaking initiative offering a 50% discount on all traffic violations committed within the emirate before November 1, 2023.
Discount Details and Duration:
The initiative, set to commence on December 1, 2023, and extend until January 7, 2024, encompasses various violations, allowing individuals to rectify their infractions at a reduced cost.
However, it’s important to note that this discount excludes severe infractions to maintain public safety and security.
Promoting Compliance and Addressing Concerns:

Excluded Violations:
While the discount encompasses many violations, certain severe infractions remain ineligible for this benefit. These exclusions include:
- Driving in a manner that endangers lives, safety, or public/private facilities.
- Violations involving heavy vehicles overtaking red lights.
- Overtaking red lights by light vehicles or motorcycles.
- Exceeding the maximum speed limit by more than 80 km/h.
- Unauthorized modifications to vehicle engines or base “chassis” without a license.
