Professor Klaus Schwab, the Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), lauds the UAE’s pivotal role in organizing global gatherings like the World Governments Summit (WGS), emphasizing Dubai and the UAE’s forward-thinking and strategic approach. In an interview with the Emirates News Agency (WAM) during his participation in WGS 2024, themed “Shaping Future Governments,” Schwab highlights the inevitability of change, asserting that despite its challenges, change fosters progress towards a better world.
Scheduled from February 12th to 14th, WGS 2024 convenes over 25 heads of state, 85 international and regional organizations, 140 governments, and numerous thought leaders and experts to explore significant global trends. With a packed agenda comprising 110 plenaries, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, featuring 200 international speakers, as well as 23 ministerial meetings and executive sessions expected to host over 300 ministers, this year’s summit promises robust discussions on shaping the future landscape of governance and policy-making.
