UAE Virtual Amer Service Revolutionizes Visa Processing and Residency Renewals
The UAE’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has introduced the Virtual Amer Service to simplify and expedite the visa processing and residency renewal.
This innovative service offers a convenient solution for applicants facing incomplete or unclear document submissions.
Remote Access via Video Conferencing:
Applicants are no longer required to physically visit Amer centers in Dubai to resolve document-related issues.
The Virtual Amer Service facilitates remote interactions through video conferencing, eradicating the necessity for in-person visits.
Unlike chatbots that mimic human conversation, this service is staffed by real officers who interact with customers in real-time.
Applicants can see and speak directly with officers to address any document-related problems.
User-Friendly Process:
The process is straightforward: applicants can access the virtual service remotely, and an officer will review any missing or unclear documents.
The applicant can then upload the necessary documents via the chat box, all without needing a personal visit.
Time-Saving and Simplified Process:
Introducing the Virtual Amer Service is expected to reduce transaction times and simplify the visa application and renewal process for customers, eliminating the need for physical presence.
This virtual service can be used for processing the issuance and renewal of various types of visas, including residency, student visas, visit visas, as well as golden and green visas. It primarily addresses delays caused by missing or vague documents.
Successful Implementation:
GDRFA-Dubai reported significant success during the initial phase of the video call service in the first quarter of 2023.
Approximately 250,000 transactions were successfully processed, highlighting the efficiency of the Virtual Amer Service.
Expanding Access:
While available on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., plans are in place to extend the service to a 24/7 operation, ensuring accessibility for applicants at any time.
Apart from the Virtual Amer Service, applicants can also contact the Amer call center on the toll-free number 8005111, providing round-the-clock assistance to enhance the applicant experience.
