UAE Strongly Condemns Israeli Attack on Gaza Reconstruction Headquarters

The UAE has strongly condemned Israel's strike on the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza's offices.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has issued a strong condemnation in response to the Israeli attack on the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza headquarters. 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has unequivocally rejected the targeting of this committee, emphasizing its disapproval of attacks on any organizations or civilian facilities in the Gaza Strip.

Prioritizing Humanitarian Concerns:

In an official statement, the MoFA has outlined the UAE’s immediate priorities in the aftermath of the attack. 

The foremost concern is preserving civilian lives, underscoring the urgent need for the safe, sustainable, and unimpeded delivery of humanitarian, relief, and medical aid to the affected areas.

Call for Immediate Ceasefire:

The ministry has reiterated its stance on the necessity of an immediate ceasefire to halt further loss of life. Emphasizing the significance of protecting civilians and civilian institutions, the UAE urges compliance with international law, including treaties that safeguard non-combatants and their facilities during conflicts.

International Community Engagement:

The UAE has called upon the international community to intensify efforts aimed at preventing an escalation of the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. 

Additionally, there is a plea to advance comprehensive and just peace initiatives while preventing the region from being drawn into heightened levels of violence, tension, and instability.
