UAE Schools to Enjoy Extended Three-Week Spring Break Starting March 25

In a welcomed announcement for students across the UAE, schools are set to embark on a three-week spring break commencing from March 25. The extended holidays, coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr, will provide students and educators with a well-deserved opportunity for rest and rejuvenation.

The spring break, spanning from March 25 to April 14, will offer students ample time to unwind and recharge before returning to their academic pursuits. Schools are scheduled to reopen on April 15, marking the commencement of the new term.

The decision aligns with the UAE school calendar approved for the ongoing academic year, ensuring consistency and coherence in educational planning. With the second semester already underway since January 2, the upcoming break serves as a pivotal moment for students to reflect on their learning journey and prepare for the remainder of the academic year.

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), responsible for regulating private schools in Dubai, has communicated the resumption of classes on April 15 through its official channels. Additionally, the authority has clarified that the academic year will not conclude before June 28, providing clarity and guidance to students, parents, and educators.

As anticipation builds for the upcoming religious observances of Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr, expected to commence around March 11 or 12 and April 8 or 9 respectively, the UAE authorities are poised to confirm the official dates closer to the holidays based on the sighting of the moon. KHDA will promptly announce these dates following confirmation by the relevant UAE authorities, ensuring that students and families can plan their festivities accordingly.

The extended spring break presents an opportunity for students to engage in recreational activities, spend quality time with family and friends, and reflect on their personal and academic goals. It also underscores the UAE’s commitment to promoting a balanced approach to education, prioritizing the well-being and holistic development of its student population.

With the academic year proceeding as scheduled and the forthcoming break offering a respite from the rigors of school life, students can look forward to a period of relaxation and reflection before embarking on the next phase of their educational journey. As the UAE continues to prioritize education and student welfare, initiatives such as the extended spring break contribute to fostering a vibrant and thriving learning environment across the nation.
