Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, the Mohamed bin Zayed Water Initiative was unveiled today to tackle the pressing issue of water scarcity on a global scale.
The initiative’s primary objectives are to raise awareness about the severity of the water scarcity crisis, expedite technological advancements to address associated challenges, and foster international collaboration to mitigate its impact while stimulating investments for the benefit of present and future generations.
Heading the initiative is His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, with His Excellency Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, the Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, serving as vice-chair.
Among the board members are esteemed figures including His Excellency Suhail bin Mohamed Al Mazrouei, the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, and Her Excellency Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak Al Shamsi, the Minister of Climate Change and the Environment.
