Nine healthcare volunteers left the Emirates on Sunday.
Humanitarian Support Extended
More medical personnel from the UAE have departed for Gaza to provide crucial assistance to those injured in the conflict with Israel.
Comprising nine volunteers, this group forms the third batch of healthcare professionals aiming to join hands with other doctors and nurses in delivering essential care to Palestinians affected by the strife.
Field Hospital’s Vital Role
Over the past fortnight, the UAE’s field hospital in the Gaza Strip, boasting 150 beds, has rendered medical support to 291 cases.
The hospital’s services range from initial aid and medication to comprehensive surgical interventions and intensive care. These efforts, as reported by the state news agency Wam, highlight the hospital’s pivotal role in addressing the medical needs arising from the conflict.
Initiative Under Gallant Knight 3 Operation
President Sheikh Mohamed initiated the Gallant Knight 3 humanitarian operation, leading to the establishment of this hospital.
Launched on December 2, this facility features state-of-the-art amenities, including specialized operating rooms catering to general, paediatric, and vascular surgeries.
Additionally, it offers intensive care units for both adults and children, along with various specialized clinics spanning internal medicine, dentistry, orthopaedics, psychiatry, family medicine, paediatrics, and gynaecology.
The continued deployment of medical teams from the UAE to Gaza reflects the nation’s unwavering commitment to extending crucial aid and healthcare assistance to the affected population in the aftermath of the conflict.
