Holiday Travel Plans: To the Philippines or Abroad?

As the holiday season approaches, individuals planning trips, either to the Philippines or abroad, received a reminder from the Philippine Bureau of Immigration (BI) regarding the mandatory eTravel registration.

eTravel Mandate for International Travelers:

In anticipation of an upsurge in international travel, the BI emphasized the necessity of mandatory registration in the one-stop electronic travel declaration system, known as eTravel. This directive applies to both incoming and outgoing passengers, as highlighted by a senior official.

Crucial Registration Prerequisite:

Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco reiterated the obligatory nature of the eTravel platform registration. 

This prerequisite stands as a crucial step for travelers, imperative for the completion of immigration procedures conducted by BI officers at international airports and seaports across the Philippines. This requirement applies to both arrivals and departures in the Southeast Asian nation.
