Dubai Police issued a safety alert urging residents to avoid beaches and flood-prone areas. Motorists were advised to exercise caution and adhere to instructions from authorities amid the challenging weather.

Videos and reports showcased the intensity of the weather, capturing heavy rains and gusty winds lashing Dubai’s Abu Hail area. The spectacular display of thunder and lightning painted the skies across the Emirates.

Iconic Landmarks and People’s Response:

Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa was featured in a video amid lightning strikes, while a cleaner in Al Quoz continued his duties despite the downpour, showcasing resilience amidst adverse weather conditions.

Other emirates also experienced heavy rains and lightning, as depicted in videos showing waterlogged roads in Sharjah, affecting morning commuters and school transportation.

The National Centre of Meteorology issued orange and yellow alerts, cautioning residents about hazardous weather conditions and advising against outdoor activities. 

Dubai schools transitioned to online learning due to the weather, following directives from Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, and Ras Al Khaimah authorities.

The NCM predicts a temperature drop, with increased humidity by night and Saturday morning. Anticipated temperatures range from 14°C in mountainous regions to a maximum of 33°C in internal areas across the UAE.
