From the North Pole to the Expo City, the Claus family descended upon Dubai, transforming the Expo City into a festive wonderland and spreading joy and holiday cheer.
Following the conclusion of COP28, the festive village unveiled its splendor to residents and visitors with a grand inauguration on Friday.
The heart of the spectacle was a towering 52ft Christmas tree illuminating the Al Wasl Dome, drawing delight from the gathered crowd.
The Enchanting Presence of Santa’s Clan:
Amidst the enchanting ambiance, Santa Claus made a star-studded appearance alongside his entire entourage – Mrs. Claus, the reindeer, the Gingerbread Man, a troupe of devoted elves, and towering candy canes. Their presence brought joy and excitement to all attendees.
The Christmas village extravaganza, a sight to behold, will continue its magic until January 7, 2024, welcoming visitors and residents alike to experience the winter wonderland within Expo City.
Attractions and Activities:
Winter City greets guests daily from 3 pm to 11 pm, with entry tickets priced at Dh20. Children under 12 and Carol by Candlelight ticket holders enjoy complimentary access. Additional charges apply for select activities and workshops.
The festive ambiance includes an eco-toy factory where children can craft toys from recycled materials while learning about STEM.
Joining Santa on a mission to save the North Pole from climate change impacts, interactive sessions led by Mrs. Claus focus on preserving polar habitats and promoting responsible practices like reducing, reusing, and recycling.
Community Engagement and Delights:
Visitors get to inscribe their names on Santa’s infamous “naughty” or “nice” lists and relish traditional seasonal treats such as hot chocolate, mince pies, and gingerbread, fostering a sense of community and sharing among all attendees.
The Christmas spirit continues with Carols by Candlelight running from December 20 to 24, complemented by projection shows and enchanting snowfall sessions. Various food and beverage packages sweeten the experience for attendees during these joyous celebrations.
