The 58-year-old French driver, accompanied by his co-driver Edouard Boulanger, showcased a masterful performance in the second stage of the rally, navigating through the challenging 463-kilometer race across the winding dunes of the Saudi desert. The closest contender to Peterhansel was nine-time rally world champion Sebastien Loeb, who finished 29 seconds behind. American rookie Seth Quintero managed to secure the third spot, finishing 3 minutes and 11 seconds after Peterhansel. In the motorbike category, Honda’s Ignacio Cornejo emerged victorious, maintaining a lead of 5 minutes and 59 seconds ahead of Luciano Benavides. Botswana’s Ross Branch continues to lead the overall standings in this section.
