A dramatic scene unfolded as a single-engine Diamond DA-40 crashed on Interstate 26 near Asheville Regional Airport in western North Carolina.
The incident occurred around 8:15 pm, with the plane catching fire upon impact. Despite the intensity of the crash and subsequent flames, the two individuals on board managed to escape with injuries that were fortunately not life-threatening.
