Woman in Elevators? Sirine’s Global Business Will Surprise You

Sirine

Some journeys are driven by passion, others by purpose—but Sirine’s is led by both. From a promising career at PwC to co-founding a unique business in a male-dominated industry, Sirine has defied expectations and carved out her own powerful path. With a fearless mindset, she stepped away from the comfort of corporate life to embrace the uncertain world of entrepreneurship. And she did it on her own terms.

Growing up, Sirine always dreamt big. She didn’t just want a good job—she wanted to be part of something bigger. “Since I was young, I wanted to be part of a multinational community and organization,” she shares. Her ambition led her to apply to PwC, one of the world’s top four consulting firms, often referred to as the “Big Four.” That decision was her first major career milestone and marked the start of an exciting professional journey.

Climbing the Corporate Ladder with Purpose

Sirine’s early career was built on strong foundations. Starting as a research analyst at Thomson Reuters, she quickly developed the analytical and professional skills that would serve her well in the years to come. Her transition to PwC allowed her to grow further, eventually taking on the role of senior consultant. Over her nearly six-year tenure, she gained global exposure, industry insight, and the confidence to pursue even bolder dreams.

But that path wasn’t without its challenges. One of her toughest moments came when she had to decide whether to stay in her home country, Lebanon, or take the leap and move to the UAE. Choosing between family and career isn’t easy, but Sirine took the difficult decision in stride, driven by her long-term vision.

A Bold Shift: From Employee to Entrepreneur

After years in the corporate world, many professionals crave comfort—but not Sirine. She began to feel a calling to create something of her own. “It wasn’t an easy decision to shift from an employee to an entrepreneur,” she says honestly. However, that leap of faith turned into the beginning of something extraordinary.

Together with her business partner, she co-founded Cloud 7 Trading, a UAE-based company specializing in elevator installation and maintenance—primarily servicing the African market. Choosing such a physically demanding, male-dominated field was not a typical path for women entrepreneurs, but Sirine embraced the challenge wholeheartedly.

“Being part of the heavy work industry, and not anything related to beauty or skincare like most women, was a bold move,” she says. “But I believed in myself, and competing with my inner doubts became my biggest achievement.”

Cloud 7 Trading: Elevating Standards, Breaking Norms

With Cloud 7 Trading, Sirine has taken on a crucial industry—elevators are the literal backbone of infrastructure in fast-growing regions. From new installations to rigorous maintenance operations, her company ensures that clients across Africa get reliable, efficient service. But her ambitions don’t stop there.

“My goal is to expand our projects not only in Africa but to Iraq, Jordan, and Kurdistan as well,” she shares confidently.

Running a business in a niche market is tough, and doing so as a woman makes it even more complex. But Sirine’s strength lies in her consistency, commitment, and the ability to believe in herself even when the odds are high. “I always wanted to be in the safe zone and be an employee until I believed in myself that I can be an employer.”

Facing Fear with Faith and Grit

Sirine is honest about the mental and emotional hurdles that come with taking such a major leap. Leaving behind the stability of a multinational firm to venture into uncharted waters wasn’t just a financial risk—it was deeply personal. But she learned that true growth begins at the edge of your comfort zone.

“Face your fears and take risks,” she advises. “Nothing is impossible. Trust yourself and work hard. Be patient, because life is full of surprises—but opportunities are always there.”

This mindset has become her guiding light. And her company, Cloud 7 Trading, is now a reflection of those values—built on integrity, trust, and human connection.

More Than Business: Building a Legacy of Integrity

For Sirine, success isn’t just about numbers and profits—it’s about the impact. She wants her work to reflect more than just operational excellence. “The impact I hope to leave in my industry is one rooted in integrity, relationships, and meaningful results,” she says. “I want to be known not just for the work I do, but for how I do it—with honesty, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping others succeed.”

In an era where business often feels transactional, Sirine is bringing back the human touch. Every client interaction, every project, and every team collaboration is approached with professionalism, creativity, and care.

What’s Next for Sirine?

As of now, Sirine is fully dedicated to scaling Cloud 7 Trading across multiple regions. But her influence goes beyond the elevator industry. Through her Instagram @Sirine.moa and LinkedIn (Sirine Moawiah), she continues to inspire young women, particularly those hesitant to enter male-dominated fields.

She is proof that you don’t have to follow the expected route. That women can lead in logistics, construction, and technical services. That dreams are valid—even if they don’t look like everyone else’s.

“Never stop learning,” she says. “It is never too late to start many times until you get the results you want. Love and believe in yourself.”

An Inspiration to Women Everywhere

Sirine’s journey speaks to every woman who has ever felt boxed in by tradition, industry norms, or fear. She stands as a modern example of resilience, courage, and leadership, showing us that success comes in many forms—and sometimes, the most rewarding paths are the ones we create for ourselves.

Her story isn’t just about starting a company. It’s about breaking barriers, trusting the process, and redefining what’s possible.
