Sheikh Zayed Festival 2023: Celebrating Heritage and Culture

The 2023 Sheikh Zayed Festival promises a spectacular of fireworks, a mesmerising drone display, and a variety of activities.

The 2023 edition of the Sheikh Zayed Festival, inaugurated under the patronage of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, promises an extravaganza of fireworks, a mesmerizing drone show, and an array of activities spotlighting the UAE’s rich history and heritage. 

The 114-day-long festival, supervised by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, assures all attendees a blend of culture, heritage, and entertainment.

Preparations and High-Level Support:

Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Adviser to the President and Head of the Higher Organising Committee, lauded the festival’s preparations and final arrangements. 

The high-level delegation expressed satisfaction with the organizers’ efforts, emphasizing Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s keen interest in the festival’s success.

Named after the UAE’s Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the festival has become a globally acclaimed cultural event. 

It significantly boosts Abu Dhabi’s reputation as a premier tourism and cultural destination, attracting over 2.5 million visitors and engaging 7 million followers and viewers during the previous edition.

Engaging Experiences and Attractions:

Running until March 9, the festival offers residents and tourists a chance to immerse themselves in Emirati heritage, relish delectable cuisine, and create cherished moments of joy and entertainment. 

Spectacular fireworks and drone shows will captivate audiences on the opening day and Saturdays at 10 pm.

The festival introduces the innovative ‘Flora and Fauna Reserve’ alongside revamped attractions like the spine-tingling ‘House of Horror.’ 

Visitors can explore the ‘Heritage Village’, showcasing the diverse environments of ancient Emirati society. ‘Fun City’ provides thrilling rides and activities for families and children.

Vibrant Performances and Celebrations:

Live performances, captivating shows, and surprises await attendees during weekends and public holidays. 

Special National Day celebrations promise dazzling shows, international pavilions, folk art displays, military musical performances, and Emirates Fountain activities.

Operating from 4 pm to midnight daily and extending until 1 am on weekends and public holidays, the festival promises a vibrant atmosphere filled with entertainment, cultural experiences, and festive celebrations for visitors to indulge in.
