Her Excellency Maja Popović, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Serbia, praised the innovative smart systems deployed by Dubai Police during her visit to the Dubai Police General Headquarters. This commendation highlights the significant contributions of these advanced systems in enhancing emergency response times, promoting road traffic safety, and strengthening overall safety and security in Dubai. Minister Popović’s visit coincided with her participation in the World Governments Summit 2024, held in Dubai from February 12 to 14.

Upon her arrival, Minister Popović was warmly welcomed by Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, and several senior officers. During her tour of the headquarters, she was introduced to a diverse range of cutting-edge smart systems and artificial intelligence technologies.

These technologies, integrated into Dubai Police operations, have revolutionized emergency response capabilities, streamlined incident handling processes, and optimized the deployment of police patrols across the emirate. Minister Popović gained insights into advanced features such as license plate recognition, real-time identification of traffic violations, and seamless communication between patrols and the Command and Control Center.

One of the highlights of her visit was the ‘Ghiath’ Smart Patrol, showcasing sophisticated systems powered by artificial intelligence, including facial recognition and tracking of wanted vehicles. Additionally, Minister Popović was briefed on the ‘Drone Box’ platform, designed to dispatch unmanned aerial vehicles across Dubai to enhance emergency response and support crime detection efforts.

The exchange of commemorative shields between Minister Popović and Lieutenant General Al Marri symbolized mutual appreciation and respect. Minister Popović expressed admiration for Dubai Police’s dedication to utilizing state-of-the-art technologies to ensure safety, security, and public order. She conveyed her best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the United Arab Emirates.
