Visa Extension Simplified

Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports is taking steps to streamline the process of extending visit visas in the Kingdom.

They are urging all holders of visit visas currently in Saudi Arabia to adhere to visa regulations and extend their visa validity electronically.

This change aims to eliminate the need for individuals to physically visit passport offices.

Electronic Visa Extension

To extend the validity of a single visit visa, the Passports Directorate recommends utilizing the electronic platforms provided by the Ministry of Interior. These platforms include:

  1. Absher (Individuals, Businesses): The Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform, Absher, offers a convenient solution for visa extension. Visa holders can complete the process from the comfort of their own homes or workplaces, reducing the need for in-person visits.
  2. Muqeem Electronic Portal: Another efficient option for extending visit visas is the Muqeem electronic portal. This portal serves as an accessible, user-friendly interface to facilitate the visa renewal process.

By embracing these electronic channels for visa extensions, travelers can ensure they remain in compliance with visa regulations and enjoy a hassle-free experience without the need for physical visits to passport offices.
