RTA Implements Round-the-Clock Truck Ban in Nad Al Sheba

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has imposed a 24-hour truck ban on certain routes within the Nad Al Sheba Reserve.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has instated a 24/7 truck ban on select roads within the Nad Al Sheba Reserve.

This proactive step is aligned with Dubai’s expansive plans to revitalize and enhance various zones and reserves, with Nad Al Sheba earmarked for substantial development over the coming decade.

Route Optimization and Compliance:

To facilitate smooth operations, the RTA urges development firms and heavy vehicle drivers in Nad Al Sheba to utilize designated alternative routes intended for trucks.

In cases where truck access on restricted roads is necessary, drivers must secure a mobility permit through the integrated traffic system jointly managed by RTA and Dubai Police.

Enforcement and Monitoring Protocols:

RTA, in collaboration with Dubai Police and relevant entities, will oversee adherence to the new restrictions by truck drivers.

Stringent monitoring measures are in place, and violation tickets will be issued to non-compliant individuals failing to adhere to the updated regulations.

Continuation from Prior Improvements:

Implementing this ban follows the successful completion of the initial phase of the Al Meydan Street improvement project.

The project’s accomplishments involved the transformation of roundabouts into signalized junctions and installing signage at entry points from Al Khail Road and Al Meydan Street.
