Riyadh to Host Expo 2030: Celebrating a Global Triumph

The Bureau International des Expositions has named Riyadh, Saudi Arabia's capital, as the winner after a vote by 182 members.

Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh, emerged victorious in the bid to host the esteemed Expo 2030, as announced by the Bureau International des Expositions following the vote results from 182 members. 

This triumph positions Riyadh as the chosen destination for the five-yearly global event that garners massive visitor footfall and significant investment.

Congratulatory Messages and International Acknowledgment:

High-profile figures, including the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Vice-President and PM of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, extended heartfelt congratulations to Saudi Arabia on securing the prestigious honor.

Saudi Arabia’s Global Recognition and Regional Impact:

Rome, supported by actor Russell Crowe, highlighted readiness and grand plans for sustainability. At the same time, Busan leveraged cultural icons like Psy and K-pop sensation BTS to showcase its high-tech capabilities.

Riyadh’s successful bid was backed by a strategic marketing campaign, including a dedicated “Riyadh 2030” exhibit near the Eiffel Tower and robust advertising in Paris.
