Richard Waind’s journey into real estate began in 2004 at a prominent London estate agency. Over 15 years, he expanded his expertise across sales, leasing, property management, and financial services. His leadership roles included overseeing the UK’s third-largest estate agency group’s expansion, managing 40 branches as Managing Director for London and the Home Counties.
Transition to Dubai and Ascendancy at Betterhomes
In 2017, Richard joined Dubai’s Betterhomes as Director of Brokerage, managing sales and leasing for residential and commercial sectors. By January 2020, he advanced to Group Managing Director, spearheading acquisitions like Ascot & Co. and launching entities such as CRC (a commercial real estate consultancy) and Linda’s Real Estate, reflecting the group’s expansion.
Stepping into the CEO Role at Cencorp
January 2025 marked Richard’s promotion to CEO of Cencorp, a conglomerate encompassing 13 companies across real estate, built environment, professional services, and e-commerce. Cencorp’s portfolio includes Betterhomes, Living Ascot Real Estate, Linda’s Real Estate, PRIME by Betterhomes Luxury Real Estate, CRC Commercial Real Estate, CRC Valuations, DesignFit, Octopus, Strata Global, Openhub, Waterdrop, and Redix.
