Rania Ziadeh Ashkar’s transition from academia to the limelight of television is a testament to her unwavering dedication and passion. Initially rooted in education, Rania’s academic pursuits led her to earn master’s degrees in School Management and French Literature from Saint Joseph University in Beirut. Her academic journey didn’t stop there; she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Media and Educational Sciences.
Her foray into television began serendipitously when she was invited as a guest on MTV Lebanon’s morning show, “ALIVE,” to discuss educational topics. This opportunity marked the realization of a long-held dream, one she had set aside due to her parents’ reservations about a career in media.
Establishing MTV Academy: Bridging Education and Media
Recognizing the gap between academic knowledge and practical media skills, Rania founded the MTV Academy. This institution aims to equip aspiring media professionals with the necessary tools to succeed in the industry. The academy offers comprehensive courses covering various aspects of television presenting, including styling, body language, vocal delivery, content creation, and public speaking .
The curriculum, meticulously developed by Rania, combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience. Students benefit from sessions led by industry experts, ensuring they receive a well-rounded education. Moreover, the academy collaborates with prominent Lebanese universities, such as NDU and Saint Joseph University, to provide accredited programs .
