Qatar Announces Ceasefire in Israel-Hamas Conflict From Friday

Qatar has proclaimed an official ceasefire in the ongoing Israel-Hamas confrontation, which is slated to begin at 7 a.m. on Friday.

Qatar officially declared a ceasefire in the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, set to commence at 7 am on Friday. 

During a press conference in Doha, the announcement was made by Majed Al Ansari, a spokesperson for Qatar’s Foreign Ministry.

Ceasefire Details Still Being Finalized:

While the ceasefire was highly anticipated following recent negotiations, Al Ansari mentioned that specific details were still finalized in the hours leading up to the declared start time.

As part of the ceasefire agreement, Qatar affirmed its commitment to facilitating the swift delivery of humanitarian aid. 

Al Ansari stated that aid efforts are expected to begin “as soon as possible,” indicating a focus on providing urgent relief to affected regions.

Captive Civilians’ Release Timeline:

The spokesperson outlined the schedule for the release of captive civilians, with the first batch, including 13 women and children, expected to be delivered around 4 pm. This marks a significant step towards the implementation of the ceasefire deal.
