Pioneering Longevity Trials in the UAE Yield Promising Results

PureHealth's pioneering Longevity 1.0 trials have yielded impressive results in the UAE.

Healthcare group PureHealth’s groundbreaking Longevity 1.0 trials have showcased remarkable results in the UAE.

More than 100 participants in the first phase experienced an average increase in life expectancy by 2.2 years following 90-day trials.

PureHealth’s initiative aims to add up to 25 additional years to residents’ average life expectancy over the next 50 years.

Achieving Improved Biomarkers:

Participants in Longevity 1.0 achieved increased lifespans through improved biomarkers, facilitated by exercise and healthier diets under clinical supervision.

The trials resulted in notable enhancements, including a 25% increase in physical activity and a significant reduction in diabetes risk.

Farhan Malik, Managing Director of PureHealth, emphasized the critical need to address ageing as an epidemic, emphasizing not only increasing lifespans but also health spans.

The initiative seeks to make people healthier for a more extended period, combating age-related diseases and promoting overall well-being.

Ambitious Goal for Extended Life Expectancy:

Currently, the life expectancy in the UAE stands at around 76 years, and PureHealth aims to extend it by 25 years, reaching an ambitious goal of 101 years.

Globally, countries with the highest life expectancy include Hong Kong, Macao, Japan, Switzerland, and Singapore.

Building on the victory of the initial phase, PureHealth launched Longevity 2.0 trials in 2023 with over 3,000 participants.

The focus is on combatting age-related diseases and enhancing biomarkers related to body composition, functional fitness, cardiovascular fitness, and overall well-being.

Transforming Abu Dhabi into a Blue Zone City:

Dr. Erik Koornneef, Director of Research and Innovation at PureHealth, expressed the company’s commitment to transforming Abu Dhabi into a blue zone city. Blue zones are areas where residents live longer than the global average.

The remarkable strides made in the longevity trials reflect the pursuit of a healthier and longer life for the community.

The trials highlight the significance of healthier lifestyle choices, including better dietary habits, increased physical activity, and avoidance of harmful habits like smoking, in improving essential biomarkers and overall longevity.

Confidence in Future Success:

Following the impressive biological age improvement of most participants, PureHealth is confident that Longevity 2.0 trials will continue to yield success, contributing to the goal of a happier, healthier, and longer life for individuals in the UAE.
