Tatiana Houhou, a graduate of New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), has secured the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship to pursue further studies at Oxford University starting in September of the following year. Notably, she marks a significant milestone as the first recipient from the Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine region to be granted this esteemed scholarship.

At 23 years old, Tatiana Houhou stands as the third non-Emirati Rhodes scholar in the history of NYUAD. Her academic journey includes the completion of a BA in Biology in 2022 at NYUAD, where she has been actively engaged as a research assistant in the Magzoub Lab.

Houhou’s academic prowess extends beyond her graduation. Prior to her current role, she gained valuable experience as an undergraduate research assistant at both the Gresham Lab in New York and the Ramadi Lab in Abu Dhabi.
