Natasha Ibarra’s story begins in a working-class family of migrant women, surrounded by strength and perseverance. Raised by her grandmother and mother, alongside an uncle who felt more like an older brother, she grew up witnessing the power of resilience. Despite the struggles of life, the women in her family taught her a priceless lesson: to rise after every fall and to never stop moving forward.
Her grandmother never finished elementary school, and her mother completed high school when Natasha was ten. So when she became the first in her family to attend university, it wasn’t just her personal victory; it was a collective achievement. “Education and hard work were the keys to opening doors,” she recalls, reflecting on how her family viewed her success as a shared dream fulfilled.
Her early environment also shaped her values. She was nurtured by women in her neighborhood, living in a community where people looked after one another. Public spaces such as a local library, a sports center, and an art promenade became her gateways to creativity and culture. She learned to swim, paint, dance folklore, and play instruments experiences that gave her a lifelong appreciation for culture and education. Today, Natasha speaks passionately about the importance of preserving such spaces, knowing firsthand how transformative they can be for children in vulnerable communities.
A Journey Sparked by Curiosity
At 16, Natasha traveled to Turkey to represent her country in a language and literature Olympiad. That month changed her life as she saw the power of cultural diversity and developed a strong desire to understand the world’s complexity. This led her to pursue a degree in International Relations.
During her studies, she realized she didn’t want to become a diplomat. Instead, her research on Argentina and Brazil satellite cooperation inspired her to explore how science and innovation drive development. This passion led her to a master’s degree in Science, Technology, and Society.
To support herself, Natasha joined Enseña por Argentina, a program that brings education to underprivileged communities. She co-taught in classrooms where students often struggled to stay in school, helping many rediscover their motivation to learn. What began as a job became a calling, and she stayed on as a full-time teacher for three more years.
She also used her background in business management to design an entrepreneurship workshop, helping students produce, market, and sell their creations while learning essential life skills. For Natasha, education and innovation were never separate paths but two parts of the same mission to empower people to think creatively and build their own opportunities.

Building Strength Through Challenges
Natasha describes her professional path as non-linear, and proudly so. She never chased titles but pursued roles that allowed her to learn, grow, and make a difference. Her research taught her that the public and private sectors are not opposites but complementary forces in the innovation ecosystem.
This mindset led her to Kalei Ventures, a venture capital firm, where she began as an analyst and later became Head of Platform and Operations. There, she worked closely with startups, helping founders access networks, partnerships, and resources. Navigating the uncertainty of new industries and cross-sector collaboration was difficult at first, but she embraced it. Over time, she turned that uncertainty into adaptability her biggest strength.
Leading With Purpose
Today, Natasha serves as Chief Operating Officer at HF Capital, a firm that helps tech companies navigate liquidity challenges such as secondaries, IPOs, and acquisitions. Her role allows her to combine strategy, operations, and relationship building all skills she’s developed over the years.
She also teaches Entrepreneurial Development at Universidad Siglo 21, where she once led the university’s startup incubation program. Additionally, she contributes to academic research focused on global technology and the role of emerging powers in shaping digital diplomacy.
While her schedule is demanding, she says she’s learned not to rush. “I don’t know exactly what 2026 will bring,” she smiles, “but I’m enjoying the path.” For her, success is not about speed but about growth and purpose.
The Woman Behind Her Strength
When asked who inspired her most, Natasha’s answer is immediate her grandmother. A survivor of domestic violence, her grandmother rebuilt her life from nothing, with no education or resources, yet with endless patience and wisdom.
Natasha remembers accompanying her grandmother after school to the homes where she worked as a domestic worker. Watching her perform her job with quiet care taught Natasha the importance of details, dedication, and empathy values she carries into her work today. “There’s something silent and unseen about domestic work,” she says, “but it mirrors leadership nurturing culture, creating inclusive environments, and helping others grow.”
Facing Setbacks and Finding Balance
For Natasha, staying positive isn’t about blind optimism; it’s about perspective. She views challenges as opportunities to learn and grow rather than signs of failure. However, she admits that managing her own high expectations has been one of her greatest personal challenges.
“I’ve always made time for family and friends, but not always for myself,” she says. After facing personal losses and health challenges, she learned the value of slowing down and setting boundaries. “Sometimes growth means knowing when to stop.” That lesson has helped her align her personal and professional life more closely with her values.

Redefining Growth and Success
Natasha believes that growth doesn’t always mean climbing upward sometimes it means turning inward. Reflection, empathy, and collaboration, she says, create deeper impact than speed or perfection. This belief guides her leadership style she builds environments where people feel valued, supported, and encouraged to experiment, even when the results are uncertain.
Her definition of success has evolved over time. “Some goals are expected but not necessarily mine,” she explains. Redefining success on her own terms has been liberating. For her, success now means staying true to her purpose, nurturing curiosity, and making a difference in people’s lives.
Lessons for the Next Generation
If Natasha could speak to her younger self, she’d say: don’t rush, trust the process the things that make you different will become your strength. She’d also remind her younger self that balance matters; rest and relationships are not distractions but part of success. And most importantly, she’d say: define your own version of success, stay curious, and never lose the joy of learning.
The Legacy She Hopes to Leave
Natasha doesn’t seek fame or recognition. “It’s enough to be remembered with love by the people close to me,” she says. But professionally, she hopes to be remembered as someone who built bridges between disciplines, industries, and people to make innovation more human and inclusive.
Her dream is simple but powerful to inspire women and young people from backgrounds like hers to believe they can lead, create, and shape their own paths.
In every way, Natasha’s journey is a testament to resilience, empathy, and purpose a reminder that success is not just about reaching the top, but about lifting others along the way.
