Mohamed Salah’s Humanitarian Call for Gaza

Mohamed Salah, a Liverpool and Egypt footballer, made a significant donation for people affected by Israeli air raids in Gaza.

Liverpool and Egypt football star Mohamed Salah substantially donated to aid those affected by Israeli air strikes in Gaza.

In addition, he passionately appealed for an end to the “massacres” in the ongoing battle between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas.

Egypt’s national football captain, Mohamed Salah, supported the people of Gaza by donating significantly through the Egyptian Red Crescent.

While the exact amount remains undisclosed, it is reported to be substantial.

Confirmation by Egyptian Red Crescent CEO:

The CEO of the Egyptian Red Crescent, Rami Al Nazer, acknowledged Salah’s charitable contribution aimed at helping those impacted by the air strikes.

He expressed his gratitude on social media, emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility and the need to act to open humanitarian corridors.

As a Champions League and also the Premier League winner with Liverpool, Mohamed Salah, at the age of 31, holds immense popularity in the Arab world and the international football community.

Salah’s Plea for Peace:

In a heartfelt video message shared with his 62.7 million Instagram followers, Salah addressed the ongoing conflict: “It is not always easy to speak in a time like this.

There has been too much violence and too much heartbreak and brutality.”

He stressed the unbearable nature of the recent escalations and the necessity to protect all lives. The need to end the massacres and reunite torn families became a central theme of his appeal.

Gazans have been enduring severe shortages, exacerbated by the territory’s isolation following the October 7 attacks by Hamas on Israeli communities and military posts, which resulted in significant loss of life.

Salah’s Critics and Online Campaign:

Despite his appeal, Salah faced criticism from some Egyptian football fans who expected him to speak in defense of Palestinians. This criticism led to an online campaign urging people to unfollow him on social media.

Urgent Call for Humanitarian Aid:

Salah made an urgent plea for humanitarian aid to Gaza, emphasizing the dire conditions people are facing. He expressed his distress at the horrifying scenes at a Gaza hospital and called for immediate access to food, water, and medical supplies.

Salah concluded his message by calling on world leaders to unite and prevent further loss of innocent lives. He stressed the importance of humanity prevailing in these difficult times.
