The Moment It All Began: A School Play That Changed Everything

Abir’s journey into the world of acting began in an unexpected way. It wasn’t a glamorous film set or an elite drama school — it was a high school stage, a simple role, and a story that demanded vulnerability. She portrayed a cancer patient with such sincerity that it left her audience in tears. But more importantly, it left her with purpose.

“I realized I could connect with people through performance in a way that words alone couldn’t,” she shares. That moment became the foundation for a creative journey rooted in truth, empathy, and exploration.

Rising on the Regional Stage: Award-Winning Debut

Her first professional role came under the guidance of a well-known stage director in the Arab world. Abir was cast in a play showcased at a major theater festival in Jordan, surrounded by powerful performances from across the region. It was her first time acting on such a big stage — and she made it count.

With intensity and raw emotion, Abir brought her character to life in front of a packed audience. The result? She returned home with the Best Actress award — a monumental achievement for a newcomer.

More than the accolade, it was the experience that shaped her. “It was thrilling and demanding. It helped me understand what it truly means to carry a story with heart,” she says. That experience not only validated her passion but gave her a deeper sense of direction.

A Voice That Resonates:

Beyond on-screen acting, Abir ventured into voice acting, lending her voice to various projects that required nuanced and emotive delivery. Her work in this domain further established her as a versatile artist capable of transcending mediums to connect with audiences.

Penning Stories That Matter

Abir’s talent isn’t confined to acting alone. She has made significant contributions as a writer, with notable works like the television series “Akher Al Layl” (2018) and “Metel El Helem” (2019). These series delve into intricate narratives, reflecting her keen insight into human emotions and societal dynamics. Her storytelling resonates with many, offering both entertainment and thought-provoking themes.

Coaching

With a Master degree in Training Actors, Abir took on the role of an acting coach. Her association with “Stiletto” & “Al Kha’en” on Shahid.vod as an acting coach underscores her commitment to sharing her knowledge and experience with aspiring actors. Through her guidance, many have honed their craft, benefiting from her comprehensive understanding of the art form.

Entrepreneurial Ventures: Looming Success

Not one to be confined by traditional roles, Abir embarked on entrepreneurial endeavors, founding @loom.lb and @loomsroom. These ventures reflect her innovative spirit and desire to create platforms that blend art with commerce, offering unique products and experiences to a broader audience.

Writing Her Own Destiny: A Self-Produced Play

Today, Abir is working on something deeply personal — her first self-produced play. This isn’t just another role. It’s a dream brought to life, a manifestation of years of growth, learning, and creative evolution.

The play is being directed by someone she holds close to her heart — Lebanese actor and director Gabriel Yammine. It also features fellow actors who’ve supported her journey along the way.

“It feels surreal,” she says. “This story, these characters, they mean everything to me. I can’t wait to share this piece of my soul with the world.”

Producing and performing in her own play is both a challenge and a celebration. It reflects her willingness to take control of her narrative and craft roles that resonate with her truth.

The Artist’s Philosophy: Learn, Grow, Repeat

Abir doesn’t see her achievements as endpoints but as milestones on a longer journey of self-discovery. She lives by Albert Einstein’s quote:
“The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don’t know.”

Even with accolades and growing recognition, she remains a student of her craft. Whether it’s attending acting workshops, diving into new scripts, or exploring different cultures and perspectives, she’s constantly learning.

“Acting and writing are not just about performance — they’re about understanding life. The more I uncover about others, the more I learn about myself,” Abir explains. This mindset fuels her storytelling and keeps her work authentic and emotionally resonant.

A Voice for the Heart: The Mission Behind Her Art

At the core of Abir’s mission is a desire to leave an impact. Whether it’s laughter, reflection, or tears, she hopes every performance leaves her audience changed in some way.

“My deepest wish is for every script I write or perform to touch hearts and minds,” she says. “If someone walks away feeling seen or understood, then I’ve done my job.”

Her roles often explore deep emotions, social issues, and human resilience. Through her characters, she seeks to hold a mirror to society — not just to entertain, but to provoke thought and healing.

What’s Next: The Story Continues

With her self-produced play nearing its debut and more projects on the horizon, Abir Sayah is just getting started. Her talent, authenticity, and drive have already set her apart, but what makes her truly special is her unwavering belief in the transformative power of storytelling.

She encourages aspiring artists to trust themselves, embrace their creativity, and never lose the spark of their inner child — the part that dares to dream.

“Trust your inner voice and embrace the strength of your inner child,” she says. “That’s where your true magic lies.”

Abir Sayah’s story is a shining reminder that art, when created with heart and intention, can change lives — starting with your own.
