Masdar City, renowned for its commitment to innovation and sustainability, has inaugurated its newest landmark, the Masdar Park. Spanning an impressive 20 hectares, the park offers a myriad of recreational amenities designed to promote green living and community engagement.

The unveiling of Masdar Park marks a significant milestone for Masdar City, cementing its position as a leading hub for sustainable urban development. Boasting lush green spaces, state-of-the-art sports courts, playgrounds, and extensive running and cycling tracks, the park is set to become a vibrant center for leisure and wellness activities.

Powered by 340 solar panels, Masdar Park harnesses renewable energy to generate over 300 megawatts annually, showcasing Masdar City’s unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship. Notably, the park’s construction incorporates recycled materials, further emphasizing its eco-conscious design.

In alignment with Abu Dhabi’s Estidama Public Realm Rating System, Masdar Park has received an esteemed ‘Exemplar’ certification, highlighting its adherence to sustainable principles. Additionally, the park is home to the Estidama Mosque, further promoting the integration of green infrastructure within community spaces.

The grand opening of Masdar Park was commemorated with ‘The Festival’, a vibrant celebration featuring a captivating green circus parade, interactive light installations, and engaging workshops suitable for all ages. Attendees were also treated to a diverse array of culinary delights from various food kiosks, enhancing the festive atmosphere.

Mohamed Al Breiki, Executive Director of Sustainable Real Estate at Masdar City, expressed his enthusiasm for the park’s inauguration, emphasizing its significance in advancing sustainable urban living. He underscored Masdar Park’s role as not only a recreational destination but also as a testament to Masdar City’s pioneering efforts in combating climate change.

Masdar City continues to attract a diverse mix of businesses, residents, and visitors, with its Free Zone accommodating over 1,000 organizations, including renowned international agencies and technology firms.
