A Childhood Dream That Sparked a Journey
When Maggie Elsadek was just 8 or 9 years old, her dream of becoming a news presenter began to take shape. Encouraged by her family, who noticed her gift for communication and her confidence, Maggie grew up believing she would one day appear on TV.
“They always said I was very talkative, and I believed them. That dream stayed with me, and I grew up confident that I would be a news presenter,” Maggie recalls.
Her passion for storytelling and connecting with people became the foundation of a career that is both dynamic and impactful.

A Moment of Pride
Maggie vividly remembers her first television appearance, a moment that solidified her career choice. “I knew it was the right decision when I saw the pride in my family’s eyes,” she shares.
For Maggie, telling real stories to the public is more than a job—it’s a calling. She finds joy in being able to inform and engage people through her work.
A Tough Start in the Media Industry
Like many aspiring professionals, Maggie faced challenges early in her career. After graduating, she struggled to secure a job in the competitive world of media. It took her three years to land her first role at Dubai Sports TV, where she began building her skills and experience.
“I stayed with them for two years, learning and growing,” she says. That first job was the stepping stone she needed to move forward in her career.

A Career on the Rise
After her time at Dubai Sports TV, Maggie transitioned to Sky News Arabia, where she worked for a year. This move marked her growth as a news presenter, but she had her sights set on something bigger—political news.
Her opportunity came when Al Hurra News offered her a role in their Dubai-based team. “Al Hurra gave me the biggest opportunity to work in political news, and I’m so happy to be part of the team here,” Maggie shares.
She is now working on her ultimate goal: hosting a dedicated political program. “It’s a specific program I have in mind, and I’m working on it, hopefully soon,” she adds with determination.
Inspired by Legends
Growing up, Maggie found inspiration in the news presenters of the 1990s. “All of them were amazing at their job,” she says, reflecting on the professionalism and poise they brought to their roles.
Their work motivated her to strive for excellence and set high standards for herself in the field.
Staying Motivated
In a demanding industry like media, staying motivated is key. For Maggie, the limitless potential of her job keeps her energized. “Thinking that our job doesn’t have borders is motivation itself,” she explains.
When challenges arise, she turns to her friends and family for support. Her best friend, Nour, introduced her to holistic healing, which has become an important part of her life. “It helps me stay positive and grounded,” Maggie says.
Lessons in Resilience
One of the most valuable lessons Maggie has learned is the power of emotional control. “We are able to control anything and every emotion,” she says. “You can go live on TV with a broken heart but still look completely normal.”
This resilience has become a cornerstone of her approach to work, allowing her to deliver the news professionally no matter what challenges she faces in her personal life.
Redefining Success
For Maggie, success is not a destination—it’s a journey. “Success is just a word,” she says. “You should never believe you’re successful because you’ll lose motivation. You always need to be ready for more and look for more.”
Her mindset keeps her driven to achieve new goals and push the boundaries of her career.
Advice to Her Younger Self
If Maggie could give her younger self some advice, it would be to embrace curiosity and work harder. “I had to be more curious back then to dig into everything,” she reflects.
Her experiences have taught her the value of perseverance and the importance of seizing every opportunity to learn and grow.
Balancing Professionalism and Humor
Maggie’s colleagues know her as someone who balances seriousness with humor. “I want everyone to remember me as a serious news presenter and the funniest at the same time,” she says with a laugh.
This duality makes her not only a trusted journalist but also a relatable and approachable person in the newsroom.
Building a Lasting Legacy
Maggie’s ultimate goal is to leave a legacy as a news presenter who combined professionalism with authenticity. She hopes to inspire future generations with her dedication to delivering real stories and her ability to connect with audiences on a deeper level.
“I want to be remembered as someone who took her job seriously but always brought light and positivity to those around her,” she says.
The Road Ahead
With her eyes set on hosting her own political program, Maggie continues to work hard and stay focused on her goals. Her journey is a testament to the power of perseverance, passion, and staying true to oneself.
From a young girl in love with storytelling to a respected news presenter, Maggie Elsadek’s story is one of ambition, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence. And with her unwavering determination, there’s no doubt she will continue to make her mark in the world of journalism.
