More than showing his ability to discuss current affairs, arts, business, politics and controversial topics all with the same level of knowledge and confidence, this show pioneered a new trend in interviews which made several presenters and podcasters follow his steps to bring diverse perspectives to the forefront and initiate daring conversations.
Transition to International Diplomacy
Charbel’s expertise wasn’t confined to the media industry. His deep understanding of communication dynamics led him to senior significant roles within the United Nations managing high-profile portfolios. As a Spokesperson and Director of Communication & External Affairs, he was instrumental in shaping the narrative for various UN missions. His tenure with the United Nations Office for Counter-Terrorism involved liaising with global leaders and mobilizing resources for critical initiatives. Additionally, his role with the UN Office of the Special Representative for International Migration saw him contributing to international projects , such as the Global Compact for Migration which was adopted at a high-level event in Marrakech, attended by over 100 heads of government and more than 700 journalists. Throughout his UN career, he played an instrumental role advising on the Middle East, and working on the peace process for Syria and Yemen for which he played a leading role in the organization and facilitation of the peace talks in Switzerland and Kuwait.

Beyond his roles in media and diplomacy, Charbel is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of communicators. As a university professor, he imparts knowledge on crisis communication, branding, artificial intelligence, public speaking, and media relations. He is currently in the process of preparing for a new talk-show while leading his own boutique agency for coaching, training and capacity-building on different skills including but not limited to corporate communication, diplomatic relations, governmental affairs, sustainability, public speaking, tv presenting, and handling complex interviews and it seems he’s only just getting started. Yet, no matter how far his journey takes him, his focus remains anchored in what truly matters.
“As I see it, it always comes back to our shared humanity. Whether I’m on a big screen or in a quiet conference room, I know that words have power. They shape public opinion, touch lives, and sometimes, change them. We each have a role to play, and I hope I’m using mine wisely—to stand for causes that matter, both directly and indirectly,” he says.
