Among them is one-and-a-half-year-old Fati Ala, now on the road to recovery, surrounded by care and comfort in a private hospital.

Fati Ala and others, victims of the conflict, were part of the inaugural evacuation flight from Egypt’s El Arish to Abu Dhabi. 

The warm reception at the airport, in stark contrast to their harrowing experiences, provided a reassuring start to their healing journey.

The UAE’s commitment to the well-being of Gaza’s children is evident as more evacuation flights are planned. 

With UN estimates indicating that 40% of the conflict’s fatalities comprise children, the UAE is going the extra mile to assure their safety and recovery.

Bouquets replaced bombs, and warm embraces replaced the trauma of conflict. In a moving gesture, Emirati officials used their ghutras to shield young patients from the sun.

Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a UAE royal, visited the injured children at the hospital, underscoring the nation’s commitment to their well-being. 

Under the directive of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE aims to treat 1,000 Palestinian children and fly in 1,000 cancer patients for medical care.
