Travelling reserve in Indian squad:

Samson was initially named a travelling reserve in India’s 17-member squad for the Asia Cup 2023 but returned after KL Rahul joined the squad.

The Asia Cup 2023 is being co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka, featuring six teams competing for the title. The tournament is an ODI competition and runs from August 30 to September 17.
