Tailored for the Abu Dhabi campus, the program, starting in January 2024, aims to equip professionals and scholars in the energy industry with the knowledge and expertise needed for implementing sustainable approaches and solutions.
Strategic Significance Ahead of COP28 and UAE’s Year of Sustainability:
The launch of the ETS master’s program holds strategic significance as the UAE prepares to host COP28 and celebrates the Year of Sustainability in 2023.
Aligned with the UAE National Energy Strategy 2050, the program focuses on fostering a new generation of leaders capable of navigating the challenges associated with energy transition.
Establishment Following Historic MoU with ADEK:
IIT-Delhi Abu Dhabi was established following a historic memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by IIT-Delhi and the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) in July.
The master’s program reflects the commitment to addressing complex challenges in the energy sector and contributing to a sustainable future.

Rigorous Selection Process for Top Candidates:
Prospective students with backgrounds in science and engineering will undergo a rigorous selection process to meet IIT-Delhi Abu Dhabi’s stringent standards.
The two-year program is designed for candidates holding a four-year bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering fields or an M.Sc in physics or chemistry.
