In late 2018, Husam Mohamed made a decision that would alter the course of his life. Overweight and battling numerous health issues, he resolved to drop a few kilograms to improve his health. This initial step ignited a transformative journey from being a sedentary individual to becoming a dedicated athlete and fitness expert. Mohamed’s story is one of personal triumph and professional success, showcasing how determination can lead to extraordinary outcomes. He is an engineer having a full time job, working for 1 of the leading organizations. Despite facing various challenges in his daily life, He manages to balance the schedule for Job and fitness.

The Path to Fitness

What began as a quest for better health soon evolved into a passion for fitness. Husam Mohamed’s transformation is not just physical but also deeply personal. “I started this journey because I was overweight, with a lot of health issues. I wanted to change that for my health, and that decision set everything in motion,” Mohamed reflects. His commitment to improving his physical condition led him to lose more than 50kg, run marathons, and attain certifications as a personal trainer, nutritionist, and CrossFit coach.

Overcoming Challenges

Embarking on a fitness career came with its own set of challenges. Mohamed’s initial foray into professional athletics in 2020 was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, which posed significant obstacles. Transitioning to a coaching career in 2022 brought additional hurdles, including the demands of studying, financial constraints, and the need to practice coaching on real clients. Despite these challenges, Mohamed’s resilience shone through. “The biggest challenge was balancing time and resources while navigating through financial constraints and the practical aspects of coaching,” he admits.

Current Endeavors and Future Goals

Today, Husam Mohamed is gearing up for new challenges. He is preparing to run an ultra marathon and aims to complete two more marathons this year. These goals are not just about personal achievement but also align with his broader career aspirations. “I’m focusing on pushing my limits further and inspiring others through my journey,” Mohamed explains.

Inspiration and Motivation

When asked about the most inspiring figures in his life, Mohamed points to himself and the positive influences around him. “The first person who inspired me was myself. I surrounded myself with positive, strong, and supportive people who pushed me to achieve more.” This self-reliance, combined with the influence of a supportive network, has been crucial in maintaining his motivation and positive outlook.

Learning from Setbacks

Throughout his career, Mohamed has encountered setbacks, particularly from negative individuals driven by jealousy or hate. “The biggest problem has been dealing with the negativity from others. I learned to set boundaries and not expect anything from anyone. Always be prepared for disappointments,” he shares. This lesson has shaped his approach to work and reinforced the importance of protecting his energy and focusing on his own goals.

Defining Success

Husam Mohamed’s definition of success has evolved significantly. Initially, success was about achieving physical milestones and professional credentials. Now, it represents the daily routines and lifestyle changes that contribute to long-term well-being. “Success is about the daily routines and lifestyle we follow. It’s about living the life I’ve worked so hard to create,” he explains.

Reflecting on his journey, Mohamed offers a piece of advice to his younger self: “Love yourself more.” This self-love and acceptance have been fundamental in his transformation and continue to guide his personal and professional life.
