How Yoga Gave Arsheen Bhalla a Second Life

Arsheen Bhalla

At just 21, Arsheen Bhalla’s life took a dramatic and terrifying turn. A gas geyser accident left her both physically injured and emotionally devastated. What could have been the end of her confidence and well-being became instead the beginning of a powerful journey rooted in healing, purpose, and transformation.

“When you’re that young, you don’t think of your mortality,” Arsheen recalls. “That accident shook everything I knew about myself my body, my plans, even my spirit. But it also planted a seed for something far greater.”

Yoga: The Unexpected Lifeline

During her slow and painful recovery, Arsheen turned to yoga not as a professional choice, but simply as a form of therapy. At the time, she wasn’t thinking about teaching others or building a brand. She was simply trying to breathe, move, and feel safe in her body again.

“After my accident, yoga gave me not just healing but direction,” she says. “I felt a deep urge to share this powerful tool with others. Teaching yoga allows me to connect, serve, and grow. It feels like purpose in motion.”

That sense of purpose has since defined every step of her path.

Building From Scratch With Just 3 Hours a Day

By 23, Arsheen began teaching yoga in a school, balancing the early stages of her career with the responsibilities of married life. But the road wasn’t easy. After her marriage, she took a brief pause and when she tried to resume teaching, she met a lack of support from her environment.

“Instead of quitting, I chose to start again. Just three hours a day,” she shares. “It wasn’t much, but it was something. That quiet consistency taught me how to be patient, how to show up for myself even when no one else did.”

Those early days became the foundation of what is now a growing and deeply respected practice.

From Classrooms to Cops: Reaching 900 Police Officers

Today, Arsheen’s influence goes far beyond small yoga studios. She has conducted wellness workshops for over 900 police officers, offering breathwork, mindfulness, and yoga as tools for stress relief and mental clarity.

“Every year, I lead sessions for police officers,” she says proudly. “It’s deeply fulfilling to know that I’m helping them find balance in such a high pressure field.”

What started as personal healing has now become a community movement, reaching people from all walks of life from children to law enforcement officials.

Yog & You: Healing That Goes Beyond the Mat

Arsheen’s platform, Yog & You, is more than just a yoga brand. It’s a healing ecosystem. Through soulful retreats, breathwork circles, ice plunges, and deep dive workshops, she’s redefining what yoga can look like in modern life.

“I’m working on creating deeper programs that are rooted in traditional yoga, internal healing, and mindfulness,” she explains. “Everything I offer retreats, classes, workshops is designed to support real, everyday healing.”

What sets her apart is the authenticity behind every practice. It’s not about flashy poses or picture perfect Instagram moments. It’s about transformation.

Slow Growth, Deep Roots

In a world obsessed with fast results and viral success, Arsheen believes in the power of slow, intentional growth.

“The most valuable lesson I’ve learned is: consistency with intention creates impact,” she shares. “Even when progress felt slow, I kept showing up with heart. That’s what has shaped my approach to serve, not perform… and to grow with depth, not speed.”

That philosophy now anchors everything she does from how she teaches, to how she shows up online.

Leading With Heart, Not Ego

Arsheen doesn’t want to be remembered for the number of followers she has or the scale of her retreats. Her goal is far more personal and profound.

“I hope to leave behind a wave of wellness that feels real, not commercial,” she says. “I want to be remembered as someone who brought people back to their bodies, their breath, and their truth. A teacher who held space with heart, not ego.”

This heartfelt mission is reflected in the way she interacts with her students creating safe, compassionate spaces where people can truly come home to themselves.

The Bigger Vision: Global Healing with Ancient Roots

Looking ahead, Arsheen is dreaming big but always with her feet grounded in tradition.

Her long term goal? To create a global platform that brings yoga beyond the mat. She envisions a world where healing is integrated into everyday life, not just a once a week practice.

“It’s not just about asanas or physical flexibility,” she says. “It’s about helping people reconnect with themselves body, mind, and soul.”

From India to the world, her goal is to make traditional, heart led yoga accessible and meaningful for everyone.

Words of Wisdom for Aspiring Yogis and Dreamers

When asked what advice she would give to young women or anyone facing life’s setbacks, her answer is as poetic as it is powerful.

“Trust your timing,” she says. “Don’t rush to prove. Just stay rooted in your work. The people who are meant to find you, will. Your softness is not your weakness. And the universe always rewards quiet courage.”

Her journey is living proof that even the most painful events can become powerful turning points.

A Quiet Revolution in Wellness

In an era where wellness is often reduced to trends and hashtags, Arsheen Bhalla represents something real. She is not just a survivor. She’s a soulful leader creating a quiet revolution in how we understand health, resilience, and purpose.

Whether she’s guiding a retreat in the mountains, leading a circle of breathwork in the city, or teaching mindfulness to police officers, her work is rooted in compassion, clarity, and deep human connection.

From the ashes of a near fatal accident rose a teacher who now helps others rise. That is not just inspiring it’s extraordinary.
