How Toluwanimi Ajiboye Turned Her Childhood Passion Into a Powerful Brand Storytelling Career

Toluwanimi Ajiboye

When most people think of microbiology graduates, they imagine lab coats and microscopes. But for Toluwanimi Ajiboye, life had a different plan one filled with words, brand stories, and impact.

Growing up in Nigeria, Toluwanimi’s father played a big role in shaping her love for stories. As a teenager, she would sit with her dad, listening to the radio, reading books beyond school, and finding new words in the dictionary. These simple moments planted seeds of creativity that she didn’t fully understand back then.

Even though she went on to study microbiology at university, Toluwanimi always felt pulled toward media and communication. She was fascinated by how brands talked to people, from big billboard ads to catchy posters. Deep down, she knew she was meant to tell stories that connect and inspire.

Finding Her True Path During University

Her big break came during her final year at university. Feeling unsure about life after the lab, she joined an Instagram Live session where women shared opportunities in tech and Web3. That one moment changed everything.

She joined the community, volunteered as a social media manager, and helped grow their page from 300 to over 3,000 followers within a few months. This opened the door to her first paid internship as a content creator at a fintech startup.

It was then she realized she could build a real career from her love for words and strategy.

Learning Through Challenges and Growth

At the start, creating content that actually worked was a huge challenge. In her own words, “I made plenty of mistakes in the beginning, but I poured myself into courses, mentorships, and a lot of practice until I understood what makes communication clear and compelling.”

This willingness to learn became one of her strongest qualities, helping her approach every campaign with confidence and skill.

Impacting Lives at Web3Ladies

As Toluwanimi’s skills grew, so did her impact. At Web3Ladies, she didn’t just manage social media, she helped build a supportive community for women. Her work even inspired a member of the Ethereum Foundation to donate to their nonprofit.

Under her leadership, the community expanded from a few hundred women to a thriving network across Nigeria. This achievement remains one of her proudest moments.

She always dreamed of building something bigger than herself. Seeing it come to life through Web3Ladies made her believe that meaningful work is truly possible when you follow your passion.

Living Her Teenage Dream at Loopify360

Toluwanimi Ajiboye took her passion even further at Loopify360, a marketing tech agency. There, she stepped into the exact role she had dreamt of as a teenager, a copywriter for brands.

She wrote ads, brand stories, website copy, user-generated content scripts, and email campaigns for over 40 different brands. Each project brought her closer to her dream of using words to connect people and create real impact.

She describes this phase as “proof that you really can turn your childhood dreams into your everyday work.”

Building a PR and Storytelling Brand

Today, Toluwanimi is building a PR and storytelling brand focused on helping startup founders and professionals share their stories with the world. Her goal is to earn them recognition, media features, and most importantly, trust.

She also consults for brands looking to launch or grow through clear, strategic communication. She loves turning complex ideas into simple messages that move people.

When working with clients, her first question is always, “What is your goal?” She believes every campaign should have a clear goal, whether it’s a brand launch, a rebrand, a sales push, or a referral program. Once she knows the goal, she designs a strategy that delivers real results.

A Vision for the Future

Toluwanimi’s long-term dream is to become a leading strategist and storyteller for purpose-driven founders and brands, especially in fast-growing areas like Web3. She wants to help people turn their ideas into stories that inspire action and build strong communities.

When asked how she wants to be remembered, she says, “As the strategist who helped purpose-driven brands and founders communicate their stories in ways that inspired trust, growth, and real change.”
