His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Attends Opening of Third World Police Summit

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, graced the opening ceremony of the third World Police Summit. The summit, themed ‘Uniting Global Police Forces for a Safer Tomorrow,’ commenced on March 3rd and will continue until March 7th at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Over 65 countries, 170 speakers, 70 security leaders, and 130 exhibitors are participating in this prestigious event, hosted by the Dubai Police. Among the distinguished attendees were His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, and various police leaders, security experts, and professionals from across the globe.

The summit serves as a platform for prominent police and security leaders, global law enforcement agencies, and experts to collaborate, exchange information, and discuss the latest developments and challenges in the field. It aims to address pressing global issues in combating crime and enhancing security and safety in communities.

In his opening address, Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri extended a warm welcome to the delegates, emphasizing the importance of sharing new ideas and best practices. Guided by the leadership’s vision, the summit seeks to explore innovative approaches to address challenges faced by law enforcement agencies through workshops and sessions. Additionally, more than 10 awards in criminal, traffic, and community fields will be launched during the event.

Dubai, hailed as a city of the future and a land of opportunity, embodies innovation and creativity. Lieutenant General Al Marri highlighted Dubai Police’s recent initiatives, including the AI-powered Drone Box, which has significantly reduced emergency response time, and the forthcoming floating Smart Police Station, a pioneering initiative set to offer various services in criminal and security fields.

Moreover, Lieutenant General Al Marri underscored Dubai Police’s commitment to enhancing the capabilities of its human resources, emphasizing the importance of work-life balance and employee well-being. He shared a poignant story of Dubai Police’s dedication to the rehabilitation of an injured employee, highlighting the organization’s compassionate approach.

In conclusion, Lieutenant General Al Marri congratulated the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) on its upcoming 131st anniversary and expressed gratitude to the leadership for their unwavering support to government entities and task forces in Dubai.

The first day of the summit featured a Crime Prevention Conference, focusing on the evolution of international collaboration against crime. Discussions centered on establishing frameworks for collaboration and coordinating operational procedures among law enforcement bodies to enhance crime prevention efforts.
