During a budget debate last year, MP Isaac Adongo compared Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia’s economic management to the on-pitch 

performances of a player, likely referring to Maguire.

However, in a recent statement, Adongo retracted this comparison and hailed Maguire as a “transformational footballer.”

Acknowledging Maguire’s Impact

Adongo commended Maguire as a crucial player for Manchester United, recognizing his significance within the team. Despite this praise, Adongo continued to criticize Vice-President Bawumia, suggesting a shift in Maguire’s position to the IMF with a cup in hand, indicating a different realm of challenges.
