The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) revealed the unfortunate passing of two elderly cancer patients from Gaza on Tuesday. Both patients were in critical condition, battling advanced-stage cancer.
MoHAP refrained from disclosing the gender of the patients but revealed their ages – one aged 58 and the other 63. The ministry highlighted that various health issues complicated their health conditions.
Evacuation and Treatment in UAE:
These individuals were among the many injured and cancer patients evacuated from Gaza to receive urgent medical care in UAE hospitals.
This initiative was part of a humanitarian effort ordered by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Upon their arrival in the UAE, both patients were swiftly transferred to specialized healthcare facilities. Despite dedicated medical attention, their health deteriorated, leading to their unfortunate passing, as stated by MoHAP.
Condolences and Support:
MoHAP extended heartfelt prayers for the departed souls, wishing for their eternal peace and offering solace and patience to their grieving families.
The statement also recalled the passing of a 58-year-old male patient from Gaza last week due to cardiac arrest. Earlier, a six-year-old Palestinian boy battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia also passed away on December 6.
Commitment to Healthcare:
MoHAP reiterated its unwavering commitment to delivering top-notch healthcare services to all patients and injured individuals arriving in the UAE.
This commitment extends to providing necessary treatments irrespective of the severity of their conditions, emphasizing the nation’s dedication to humanitarian causes.
