Sharjah, UAE – Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA) invites residents and tourists to delve into the rich Emirati culture and heritage with free entry to its museums until March 3. This initiative aims to encourage cultural exploration and appreciation among visitors.
From the historic Sharjah Fort (Al Hisn) to the captivating Sharjah Calligraphy Museum, visitors have the opportunity to explore various facets of Emirati heritage. Additionally, SMA has introduced the ‘Museums Express’ mobile bus museum initiative, providing an interactive journey through Sharjah Museum collections.
In conjunction with free entry, SMA offers engaging workshops designed to immerse visitors in the Emirate’s heritage. Workshops include the Al Hisn Towers workshop at Sharjah Fort (Al Hisn), focusing on the fort’s history and ancient defense tactics. Other workshops, such as those at Bait Al Naboodah and Sharjah Calligraphy Museum, provide hands-on experiences in traditional Emirati arts and crafts.
Furthermore, visitors can enjoy special exhibitions, such as the “Geometric and Floral Ornaments” photo exhibition at Bait Sheikh Saeed Bin Hamad Al Qasimi in Kalba, showcasing the artistic and structural values of Emirati architecture.
