Fatal Incident Highlights Safety Concerns in Sharjah Desert Areas

A person of Asian nationality was killed in Sharjah in an awful occurrence.

An unfortunate incident occurred in Sharjah where a person of Asian nationality lost their life, and another individual sustained injuries while reportedly “climbing dunes,” as confirmed by local police.

Safety Message from Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi:

Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, addressed the incident, emphasizing the common trend of public visits to desert areas during holidays, especially to enjoy the rainy weather. 

He highlighted the risk associated with certain activities, particularly the risky behavior of young individuals engaged in sandhill riding, leading to accidents and endangering lives.

Safety Precautions and Collective Responsibility:

Al Shamsi acknowledged that families often visit desert areas during winter, utilizing four-wheel drives or motorcycles to relish the weather. 

He underscored the critical importance of safety as a collective responsibility, urging everyone to adhere strictly to security regulations while enjoying outdoor activities in these regions.
