Emirates Suspends Israel Flights Amid Ongoing Conflict in Gaza

Emirates has imposed a temporary halt to flights to and from Israel, citing the continuing armed situation in Gaza.

Emirates airline has declared the suspension of flights to and from Israel until further notice, citing the ongoing military conflict in Gaza as the primary reason for the decision.

Initially, the Dubai-based carrier had suspended operations to and from Tel Aviv until October 20.

However, due to the persisting conflict, this suspension was extended successively to October 26, November 14, and finally to November 30.

Restriction on Onward Connections:

In the latest update, Emirates stated that customers with onward connections to Tel Aviv on its flights will not be taken for travel at their departure points until further notice.

This decision reflects the airline’s vigilance and concern for passenger safety amidst the volatile situation.

Humanitarian Toll of the Conflict:

The airline’s decision comes against the backdrop of the tragic toll the conflict has taken on the region. More than 14,100 Palestinians, including 5,800 children and 3,900 women, have lost their lives since the conflict began on October 7. The escalating humanitarian crisis has prompted international attention and concern.

Guidance for Affected Passengers:

Emirates has advised passengers affected by the flight suspensions to contact their booking agents.

The airline is offering alternatives, refunds, cancellations, and assistance with rebooking flight itineraries to accommodate the disrupted travel plans of its customers.

The suspension affects the three daily flights that Emirates served to Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV).

The airline closely monitors the situation and remains in contact with relevant authorities as it navigates the challenges posed by the conflict.
