Members of the Emirates Red Crescent came together on Sunday to share iftar with Syrian refugees at the Mrajeeb Al Fhood camp in Jordan. Led by Hassan Al Qaidi, head of the Emirati Relief Team, and deputy commander Yousef Al Harmoudi, the volunteer group broke their fast alongside the refugees in the camp.
The Emirates Red Crescent has been actively engaged in charitable initiatives in Jordan throughout the month of Ramadan. Mr. Al Qaidi expressed gratitude to all those who have generously donated to support the ERC’s humanitarian efforts.
Established in 2013 and funded by the UAE, the Mrajeeb Al Fhood camp, located approximately 40km from the Jordanian-Syrian border, offers refuge to those displaced by the civil war in Syria.
In a significant move to extend aid and assistance, the ERC launched a Dh37.6 million ($10.2 million) Ramadan campaign earlier this month. The campaign aims to provide support to families in need, both in the UAE and across the globe.
