EHS highlighted that out of the total, 6,714 cases involved natural childbirths, as reported by its obstetrics and gynecology departments, which include prominent healthcare facilities such as Al Qassimi Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Umm Al Quwain Hospital, Abdullah bin Omran Hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology, Al Dhaid Hospital, Fujairah Hospital, Dibba Hospital, Kalba Hospital, and Khorfakkan Hospital. This notable achievement is attributed to EHS’s adoption of advanced procedures and standards aimed at bolstering women’s and children’s health, including the utilization of comprehensive clinical data for pregnancy stages and newborn care within the electronic health record system and the implementation of a fetal vital sign monitoring system.

Moreover, EHS reiterated its dedication to optimizing the issuance process of birth and death certificates, leveraging digital systems to expedite procedures, enhance user experience, and elevate customer satisfaction levels.

Additionally, Emirates Health Services underscored its commitment to leveraging cutting-edge advancements and innovations in preterm and newborn care, coupled with the development of innovative and sustainable solutions to address pertinent challenges faced by this demographic. Purposeful workshops aimed at enhancing newborn care practices and fostering a culture of excellence were also conducted.

Employing artificial intelligence for smart monitoring purposes, EHS employs proactive measures for the early detection of complications in neonatal cases, facilitating prompt medical intervention and averting potential exacerbations of conditions. Furthermore, the organization remains dedicated to ongoing research endeavors aimed at exploring the latest therapeutic methods across various aspects of newborn medicine.

Commenting on their approach, EHS emphasized their comprehensive healthcare services catering to early childhood care and development, encompassing medical assessments, vaccinations, specialized pediatric healthcare services at outpatient clinics, and early screening for newborn diseases aimed at identifying genetic and congenital conditions promptly.

The overarching goal of these initiatives is to achieve early detection of neonatal diseases, enabling immediate treatment and regular monitoring to mitigate physical and mental disabilities, reduce mortality rates, and conduct screenings for selected genetic diseases in alignment with international standards.

In its unwavering commitment to delivering exemplary healthcare practices, particularly for children who constitute a vital component of society, EHS continues to strive towards providing comprehensive healthcare services tailored to meet their unique needs, thus ensuring the well-being of all community members.
