In a move to bolster trade relations between China and the UAE, Dubai recently hosted a promotional conference for the 135th edition of the Canton Fair, a renowned international trade event. The conference witnessed the participation of trade representatives and dignitaries from approximately 80 organizations, including Emirates Airlines, alongside buyers and businessmen.

Zhang Sihong, Deputy Secretary-General of Canton Fair, unveiled plans for the upcoming edition, scheduled for April 15, 2024. The fair will witness an expansion of exhibition space to 1.55 million square meters, aiming to offer a more comprehensive experience for visitors and exhibitors. With over 28,000 exhibitors anticipated to participate, the event presents an unparalleled opportunity for international buyers to explore sourcing options and foster business collaborations.

Marwan Al Marri, Regional Director of Dubai Chamber in Asia, expressed satisfaction at hosting Chinese companies and emphasized Dubai Chamber’s role as a pivotal driver of economic growth. Al Marri reiterated the Chamber’s commitment to advancing the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) aimed at boosting foreign trade.

Established in 1957, the Canton Fair is held biannually in Guangzhou, China, and stands as one of the world’s most significant international trade exhibitions. Renowned for its extensive history, diverse exhibits, and global participation, the fair serves as a premier platform for showcasing cutting-edge products, fostering innovation, and nurturing international trade relations.
