Dubai Police recently made a student’s dream come true by offering Maitha Yousuf Ahmed, a 15-year-old with hearing disabilities, the opportunity to experience a day in the life of a police officer.
The unique experience included a tailored police uniform, rides in luxury patrols, and visits to various Dubai Police stations and departments.
Colonel Omar Musa Ashour Welcomes Maitha:
Colonel Omar Musa Ashour, Deputy Director of Naif Police Station, warmly welcomed Maitha Yousuf Ahmed.
He emphasized that this gesture is part of Dubai Police’s commitment to their social role in spreading happiness and building trust among the community while fulfilling their security responsibilities.
During her special day, Maitha served as Deputy Director of the Naif Police Station for two hours. She participated in guided tours of various departments, interacted with police personnel, and gained insights into the daily operations of the police force.
Exploration of Dubai Police Departments:
Maitha explored different facets of Dubai Police, including a visit to the R&D Centre, where Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Khaled Al Mazrouei provided an overview of the center’s innovative projects.
She also visited a Smart Police Station (SPS), learning about the 24/7 services it offers without human intervention.
Meeting with Khalid Magazine Editor-in-Chief:
During her visit, Martha had the chance to meet Ms. Zainab Hussein, the Editor-in-Chief of Khalid Magazine, a children’s publication by Security Media.
She learned about the magazine’s mission to promote positive concepts and values among children.
The People of Determination Empowerment Council at Dubai Police expressed their best wishes to Maitha Yousuf, presenting her with a commemorative gift.
